The Annual Exhibition is the highlight of the Dublin Camera Club competition year. The images on display will be the winning images, chosen by a panel of expert judges. This year’s exhibition comprises of the 1 st place winners in Dublin Camera Club’s Annual Exhibition 2016.
The photographers exhibiting are Gerry Andrews, Ger Connell, Chris Ducker, Helen Hannifin, Patrick Hogan, Inta Kaulina, Philip O’Rourke, Adrian Sadler, Swathi Ranjith and Paul Stanley.
About Dubin Camera Club
The Dublin Camera Club has a rich history behind it. Founded in its present form in 1945, but with firm roots in the early 20th century, the Club has been present in Dublin city life for almost 70 years. The Dublin Camera Club provides a lively and social focal point for all those interested in photography. The Club is situated in a three story premises at 10 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2. This central location provides members with a comprehensive range of facilities and activities, boasting 2 fully equipped darkrooms and a fully equipped studio. Lecture meeting are held here weekly, the Club also has an exhibition gallery.
Competitions exhibitions, social events and educational courses are available throughout the year. The Club is dedicated to advancing the standard of photography and many of their senior members are always on hand to give advice and conduct free workshops for the beginner and intermediate photographer.
The Dublin Camera Club are also affiliated to the Irish Photographic Federation, who promote awareness of photography as a highly satisfying artistic outlet and as a leisure pursuit. Where international connections are regarded as an essential part of activities and as a means of keeping Irish photography in touch with international styles and techniques. They also administer a distinctions scheme for its members, thus encouraging the promotion of photographic excellence.
